Frankly, you wouldn’t just put any old scope or scope mount on it and you certainly wouldn’t use any product on it that could damage the rifle. The most appealing part for me is the non-destructive design: there is no drilling into your buttstock or permanently modifying your firearm to make it fit. This alone makes it one of the most interesting cheek pieces available.

[Check this if you are looking for an aftermarket M1A stock.]

Quality Where It Counts

I recently had a chance to try out the Bradley Adjustable Cheek Rest. I immediately recognized that the quality of it is outstanding.

Each American made part is made of Kydex and uses a non-slip neoprene surface, so you won’t have to worry about it moving around on you at the range or when you need it most. Each cheek rest is hand made with care because quality is their number one priority. I was born with a lazy eye, which can present a challenge. While I am right-handed and shoot pistols with my right hand, I shoot rifles left-handed. But since I am not left-handed, I can get shaky when shooting.

This cheek rest helped me immensely.

Live The Armory Life. The latest content straight to your inbox plus an automatic entry to each of our monthly gun giveaways!

I was able to hold the firearm steady and take my shot without a problem. The rest itself really gripped the stock; I did not feel it move once while shooting. It stayed right in place.

I felt the Bradley helped me get a proper cheek weld easier than other options on the market. In fact, I felt like I had the perfect cheek weld when shooting. It was far better for me than any other cheek pad I’ve tried on the M1A rifle.

The author found the Bradley Cheek Rests were a great fit for the Springfield M1A Loaded (left) and M1A Super Match she had out at the range.

Interestingly, when I changed the cheek pieces out, they came off with ease. No scratches, no damage, no fight. Others out at the range that day were interested and asked plenty of questions. Who knows how much business I sent them!

Final Thoughts on the Bradley Cheek Rest

I would give this product a 5 out of 5 stars. My accuracy improved and I felt more comfortable when shooting the rifle. It gives me the ability to adjust the comb height to perfectly fit my body perfectly. Also, it was super easy to install using a soft strap – a great solution to avoid damaging your M1A stock. The kit came fully complete with everything I needed for ideal alignment.

This is a great addition to the M1A. It’s already a sweet gun, but adding the rest makes it that much cooler. While I tested this at my local shooting range, I’ll be carrying this into the field for future hunting trips. Overall this is a great product. The best part is that they are adjustable, so you can put it on whatever you’d like.

Editor’s Note: Please be sure to check out The Armory Life Forum, where you can comment about our daily articles, as well as just talk guns and gear.
